Fluoride mouthwash versus Natural Remedies

Only a few people know that fluoride mouthwash is not advisable for us.  Fluoride, according to scientific studies causes sickness most especially to your bones. This is approved only as a rat poison and insecticide. However, fluoride is still recommended by your dentist even if news spreads about its harmful effects.  Now you know the facts, are you still going to use fluoride?

Due to limited knowledge about the treatment of gum disease such as periodontal disease, people resort to natural remedies of treating this type of disease.  Natural remedies are all natural products, non-toxic.  Moreover, it is less expensive and at the same time effective. The use of natural remedies is also recommended by dentist most especially if it hasn’t affected your gums severely.

Before going through natural remedies, it is recommended that you see a professional dentist. This is for proper diagnosis. In this way, you will know what to do and if you have reached the periodontitis stage of gum disease.  Here is a list of natural remedies suggested:

1.       Dissolve a tablespoon of sea salt in a glass of water.  Gargle this in your mouth for about thirty seconds twice a day. This will help reduce gum swelling and removes infection. This will also ease the feeling of discomfort.

2.       Tea can help minimize the swelling of your gums. All you have to do is prepare a glass of hot water. Soak the tea bag into the hot water.  Let the water cool down and then put it into the affected area.

3.       Clove oil. Carefully apply an ample amount of clove oil into the affected gum. This procedure will ease the discomfort that you are feeling.

4.       Aloe Vera.  Snip a leaf of an Aloe Vera. Inside the leaf you can find a gel that you can use to treat your gum disease.  If you so not have this plant in your garden, you can purchase an Aloe Vera gel in a bottle.  This will fasten the healing of your gum disease.

Thus, you should know that natural remedies are safe and effective to use for your gum disease. But you must know that it also depends on the severity of the gum problem.  There are times when natural remedies are use to just ease the pain until such time that you can schedule a check up with your dentist. True, that there are gum disease when untreated at its earlier stage now needs dental surgery.
